Susan Koch is the founder of 3xethical, a tech advisory firm started in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 2017. She is a Social Information Architect, UX Designer, and Conceptual Artist with a deep understanding of these domains. Susan's expertise in these areas allows her to serve as a Tech Steward, providing valuable advice to businesses on how to leverage general purpose artificial intelligence. She approaches her work through the lens of systems thinking, drawing from the philosophies and methods of Art, Business, and Technology. Susan's passion lies in guiding businesses in utilizing artificial intelligence effectively. She has studied media extensively, focusing on influential figures like Marshall McLuhan and Richard Saul Wurman, the father of Information Architecture. Susan's work has been praised by Mr. Wurman, who commented on her interface design called IMI way back in 1998. During the pandemic in 2020 - 2021, Susan furthered her knowledge by studying Living Systems at the Buckminster Fuller Institute and participating in the Warm Data lab with Nora Bateson. As an artist, Susan has long been more interested in organizing information than in personal expression! This lead her to become an information architect. As a humanist, well versed in the humanities, Susan believes that AI will revolutionize every aspect of our lives, including how we organize information professionally and personally.
